Born in Washington D.C., Priya Kareddy is a high school senior and itching to leave the safety of her home for the excitement of college. Her parents are originally from Hyderabad and she, consequently, has an unhealthy penchant for Hyderabadi biryani and Irani samosas. Reading– be it a restaurant menu or a novel – is, she finds, one of the most entertaining things possible to do. She also appreciates the advantage of writing in the third person: being able to jabber about oneself without feeling (too) bad about it.
