Chicken wings, Indian Style.
20 Chicken lollipops/wings
3 tsp red chili powder
2 tbsp garlic paste
2 stalks Spring Onions
1 tsp Soy Sauce
1 tsp Vinegar
½ tsp White Pepper Powder
¼ tsp MSG
2 tsp Salt
¾ Cup All Purpose Flour
¾ Cup Corn flour
6 tbsp + for deep frying Oil
5 drops orange food color (optional)
Wash and clean the chicken lollipops/wings. Marinate the chicken lollipops with 1 tsp salt,
pepper, MSG, 2 tsp red chili powder, garlic paste, soy sauce and vinegar. Refrigerate for 2
Make the batter by beating the 2 eggs in a bowl, adding the corn flour, 1 tsp salt, all purpose
flour, 1 tsp red chili powder, 6 tbsp oil and food color. Set aside for ½ hour.
Finely chop the spring onions.
Heat the oil in a wok for deep frying the lollipops. Dip the marinated chicken lollipops in the
batter and deep fry on medium heat. It should take about 3-5 minutes to cook. Drain excess oil
on a paper napkin and serve hot.
